Never mount an amp upside-down, it will overheat. Better to fit it on the back of the seats, or under the front passenger seat

A half decent installer will hide all of the wires so this shouldn't be a problem

most amps have all the connections on one side so face that side to the front of the car, put rear mats in and lift the mat so covers the back edge, no kicking etc. job done..... why make it hard?

Hi

I literally just fitted my amp last night and the way i did it was to cut a piece of mdf 15mm to the same size as my amp then screwed that to the metal support on the back of the seat ( there are 2, 1 each side of the arm rest hole about an 1" wide behind the trim, you can see the bolt holding it in place at the top) and then screwed amp to the mdf , tucked wires in neatly and bob's your uncle...

will try and post a pic after work

hope this helps

I easily stuffed a 4 channel phoenix gold amp under the seat in my old bugeye - no problem, all cables under the carpet and well away from anything small children could kick. A bit of care, it's easily do-able.

I have to agree with the above (unless i was a rear passenger with toasty feet )

never got in the way except for upgrading fuel pump...
