car with a boot would recommend a 12" and a completely different design of enclosure more suited to bandpass and ported through a ski hatch.

hatchback/wagon 10" sealed or a 12"
anything with low freq output you want people to hear from outside a 15" but this needs to be supported by a good quality midbass driver in the front.

sealed box tight fast and aggressive with an accurate sound follows music better as it under control

ported box more efficient and covers a narrower frequency band requires less power good for regga as this box has a tendency to drop less suited to rock

bandpass narrower frequency with bias towards a smooth linear line of frequency band suited to a broader range of music again less efficient than a vented but still requires less power than a sealed box.

I've got a FLI Twin 12" enclosure (1000 watts per speaker) with built in amp but i use a FLI 800 watt amp rather than the one built in.
The sound quality is great but the boot rattles like mad on loud volumes. It also takes up pretty much all my boot space (if you care about that sort of thing)
