Hi,

I've just bought a V4 Impreza which was imported recently from Japan.

I've took the standard stereo out today & noticed that the connectors on the back are different to the standard UK wiring.

Is there a connector I can buy to convert to a standard ISO so I can install my own head unit? Or will I have to cut the wires & re-connect them myself?

I would be grateful if someone could point me to the correct convertor (if it exists!)

there is one you can buy, but where in the Uk i dont know as I bought mine in Japan.

First place to try is your local car accessories place or Halfrauds.

If not a standard ISO connector isnt to hard to fit.

any auto accesssory place should do,eg halfrauds,a1 motorstores etc should be a standard subaru plug.a white rectangle shape,there all the same apart from the new model

The one on the car at the moment is a long this rectangle shape.
