At the moment I have 2x 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch XLC's in a Sealed box (both in Seperate enclosures) .. but same box if this makes sense?

These were out of my pug 106 and I am wanting to keep the boot fairly empty in my 5dr so was looking to make the type of box discussed below, but making it custom to fit to the side of the boot...

John - Cheers for above, how you managed to find anything on the rf website I dont know...

Thinking about it this is probably not the best combo for my amp as It effectively needs to be 1ohm stable.

I could always combine the channels and run each as left and right but due to the individual gains for left & right this may present a problem.

Has anybody got to seperate sub boxes in the car?? Have you tried putting one at either side of your boot?? What results did you get?

Cheers from across the pond
The isobaric box will save some space but at a cost of spl.I've only heard one of these and must say the sq was outstanding, but the spl that could be had from the pair separated was lost.
As for the separate boxes in the boot,it will work fine.

SO...

Do I make two fibreglass / MDF boxes and put one at either side of the boot??

Anybody got any ideas how to calculate the volume?? (ie of an odd shaped mdf / fibreglass box?? or would you just make the box out of mdf and make it fit.. if you know what I mean?

May edit above when I get home from work!.
