to get to the speakers in the front doors on an 04 wrx do i have to take the door panel off or does the speaker cover prise off? I would rather ask than break it.

 

Dont know for sure,but on the classic the door trim comes off. I would imagine yours is the same. There is 3 or 4 screws and then it will pull off.

 

there is a screw near the door handle under a little flippy cover and a screw in the bit you put your fingers in to pull the door shut, again under a flippy cover. remove the electric window panel, undo 1 more screw under there and the rest of the door panel pulls off. you cannot remove the speaker grill part by itself
