6x9 in newage
can you fit 6x9's in the rear shelf on a 2005 blob eye? i looked today and saw a cut out for speakers, just wondered if anyone had done so, and got some pictures?

iv did it in my 2003 blob with great dificulty u need an air hacksaw a drill an u need to take the rear seats out. an there a fiddle but with a bit of cutting they do fit u need to relocate the electronic antena screw next to one of the holes regards tony

You also need to make sure the speakers are not too deep, or you'll need to space them otherwise the magnet will attach itself to the rear boot spring. I plan to take mine out and tidy the whole job up. I can get some pics then

if use use a componet set of 6x9 you will get the best of both worlds decent bass responce and clarity. ideally you would amp either the components or 6x9 would make a huge improvement.

you can do but better to amp them 6x9 are very efficent speakers. so ideal for a upgrade if you choose them to have a large xmax amped will sound like a 8" sub in the rear

I have done this.
I had a shelf professionally made. I had to leave the car with them all day, but it saved any cutting out of the car rear shelf.
(cost an arm and leg though).
