head unit removal - 22b
#2
Adam M may be best to give you an authorative answer on this one, but you will probably remove using a standard removal tool - there should be holes in the unit that you can see, and you should be able to buy a standard tool from Halfords, etc for a couple of quid to do the job.
NB: I don't know for sure, as I've never removed a head unit from the 22b...

I thought your dad didnt buy it!
changed his mind again?
Is it an import or a uk?
not sure on uk, probably the same.
on import, same as anyother later spec dash. undo screws holding centre console in, and around handbrake, these all slow together nicely meaning you can then get access to the bottom of the surround which goes around the headunit and teh heater controls and ash tray etc. This will just snap off revelaing a metal framework which supports either side of the headunit. The unit is srewed to this framework from the side. Remove the framework by undoing the screws on either side of it. It will then just pull out.
The framework will screw to any headunit in standard locations.
If nick has done a page dedicated to this, it will be identical to his car!
