Default New head unit

My 2001 Bugeye cd player doesn't work and i'm thinking of buying a JVC Kw-xg 701 double din unit for £110.
Has anyone heard of this and is it any good, will it fit straight in and do i need a wiring adaptor ?
I'm new to this ice thing so advice would be appreciated.(And any other suggestions)
Thanks Nick.

You'll need a Subaru to ISO adaptor (made by autoleads and available from halfrauds) Should fit straight in but you may need to modify the brackets by adding holes so it fits exactly how you want. I've got the JVC KH551 which is sigle din and need the brackets re drilling so it fitted correctly.

The JVC unit I have is pretty good and with the add on controller controls the iPod as well.

I opted out of the double din and got a single din head unit and put a single din tray underneath instead. Fitted straight in and left me with a much larger choice of headunits

ps, please if you do choose this option, for the love of god ! Do not pick this head unit ( ripspeed tv touchscreen ) like i did. What a utter complete pile of sh!t3 !!!! If carlsberg made head units. . . . . they wouldnt make this one
