Thinking about replacing my front speakers, I currently have a set of Rainbows which sound pretty good but are a tight fit under the door cards and as such I don't get the best out of them. I don't want to build door pods as I want everything out of sight.

So looking at a set of Focal 165V-Slim Polyglass and just wondered if anybody has installed and what the quality is like?

ive had a set of these for over a year now, decent, but nothing fantastic.

bass is lacking, if i were you id probably stick to the rainbows, doubt youd get much of an improvement with the polyglass slims.

 

To be honest I have been happy with the Rainbows but I would like something that would fit under the doorcards. The Focals will fit where as the Rainbows seem to foul the cards. Bass isn't a issue as I have Subs in the boot.

 

the focals are a fantastic speaker but the do need to be amped up to get the best out of them,there not a bass speaker as such but if you have a good ear you will hear things like never before.if you want bass in the front of the car by some jbls

 

The Fronts are amped up, the problem really comes down to replacing existing speaker pods and going back to stealth behind cards. I have recently aquired some STI cards which I want to use and not butcher, and to get the interior looking spotless. Being a bit Ice mad and not having deep pockets the Focals seemed the only way to go. I have heard good things about them and just needed assurance of their quality.
