Finally received my Mstation from holland today (friend brought it across, saved postage but took longer )

Before it arrived i bought an external 5.25 ide case, but with connections inside to convert from ide inside the case to usb cable then straight into pc - £40 from local computer fair, £110+ online so quite a saving there.

Wired all the pc stuff in tonight and it works fine thru usb, is fully hot swapable as well

I noticed when i unwrapped it that the pc side had been used but the car stuff hasnt (still sealed) but was pleasantly surprised to find 1.5 gig of music already on the mstation (from previous owner im guessing) fortunately he has similar music tastes so now found myself having several albums i've never had before like several jimmy hendrix albums, couple of genesis, couple of stevie ray vaughan, police, paul simon, couple of u2, couple of dire straits and a load of other stuff already at 128kps+ (some 160).

So all in all i'm fairly chuffed so far
after adding my own mp3 stuff i've used about 3 gig of the 10 gig drive (equates to 30 full albums and a 'various' folder comprising of 322 tracks).

Needless to say any albums that i do not currently own, i will of course be purchasing the originals so as not to break any potential copyright issues.

Thoroughly recommend anyone who has one of these units with no usb connections or not wanting to get one duer to lack of 5.25 drive bays in there pc looks for the same external case i managed to pick up.

Keep us posted on how that mstation goes (easy of use, quality, reliability, etc).
I am thinking of buying one soon. For some reason most UK interenet sites sell it for £400 plus but cpc.co.uk sell it for £199 excl vat.
