Since I have improved the grip, braking and acceleration even in the wet if pushing it the CD headunit (Kenwood 5080R) will occasionally skip. If I drive slightly more "sensibly" it is rock steady. I did not think I was a loony by Impreza standards.
The headunit seems very secure. I heard about lashing the backplate? But I really can't move the thing at all. Is around 1g too much for the poor thing?
My car has only done 15000 miles.

I don't know - I had read before in a review that a std Impreza could almost pull 1g in 1st and do so under braking and not far off in corners say 0.9g IIRC, and I have upped the boost in places by 5 PSI over standard.
Whatever, it IS considerably more than before - esp brakes and acceleration, and my driving style has "developed" also which may be a bigger factor. I think I'll just turn the ICE off!
But my car is not THAT fast - I can't be they only one?

You need some inertial dampers, but I don't think they'll be invented for another 100 years if I'm to go by Star Trek
