Question

I have the original head unit and cd changer in my MY99 and want to change the head unit but don't want the hassle of changing the auto changer. Could anybody tell me if the Phillips changer will work with any other make of head units? Cheers Scott.

Hmm, doubt it.

Most of the changers use their own connectors/technology. My Alpine changer uses Ai-Net and I haven't seen nowt other than Alpine that support it.

Buy a new one and sell the original on here. You won't get much, but it's better than sod all.

I think the VDO dayton stuff fits the Philips cd changers (don't hold me to that though )

Scott,

You can probably flog the autochanger then get yourself a decent 2nd hand HU and autochanger off Scoobynet, that's what I did!

Only trouble is once you get the bug, you need

new speakers
an amp
then all new ice to replace the 2nd hand stuff
