I've done it, had to cut some of the metal work away and make some spacers, very disappointed considering the work - I don't want chav style bass, but I like dance music when I'm driving and the bass is very limited. Might try some other speakers, but the depth is the biggest problem especially as the boot springs run under the middle of the parcel shelf.

yeah, i looked into doing this, tried to measure out the best way of doing it, and then though "stuff this!". as JonMc says, the boot spring mechanism is in the way and the metal work needs mdf spacers to get 6x9s lined up - too much hassle.

you won't get 17's in the back doors. can get 13's in, but depending on the speaker, it may require some metal cutting to enlarge the hole a bit as far as i am aware.
i'm doing my car at the moment (sorting fronts first) but once i've done these i'm gonna see whats possible with the rear doors (also got a bug )
