expanding foam in boot lid
Hello
I'm in need of sound proofing my boot lid i have been thinking of using dynomat but i have been told it wont work that well but to use expanding foam but im not to sure as i have heard bad things about it,
Put to much in it will bend the panels
Lock mechanism not working due to foam covering it
Could anybody give me some other ideas or the best way of stopping this from happening
Thanks
Mark

Dont use expanding foam!, my background is from SPL cars, if any of you have been to and DB Drag or IASCA shows, im the Person behind Team DAVE, notably the Last car which was owned by my friend Richard. we held the UK record doing over 172db.
Expanding foam deteriorates quite quickly when vibrated and will leave you with lots of lumps to rattle around. A cheap and effective alternative is weather seal called aquaseal or flashband, essential the same as dynamat just not as efficient and heavier.
