Mstation question
#1
It's still in originalpackaging unopened. It converts the cd input to Aux mode for RCA input.
I decided to keep my changer and bought a KCA210 switch box (£70) which does the same thing but allows you to select CD or Aux.
It cost £25 but I have no use for it, make me an offer, pounds sterling or pints of guiness!!
edited to say that i didn't try it with the OEM unit.

Has anyone got an Mstation installed in an MY01?
If so, have you been able to connect it via the CD changer input?
Im using the supplied FM modulator which is crap and I want to try to use the RCA outputs of the Mstation.
Am I correct in thinking the standard head unit is made by Kenwood? Kenwood do a RCA to DIN cable, but Ive asked a couple of shops and they are not sure if it will work. The latest reply I have got is.......
"The CAC1AX does what you describe, but it needs to be used with a head unit that's got auxilliary input enabled in it's software. With the unit you've got, we'd have no idea whether that's the case or not. The only thing I can suggest is maybe asking Kenwood themselves directly."
If I cant get it to work ,im going to have to buy a new head unit which I dont want to do at the moment due to the cost.
Cheers

i've installed the mstation with the standard head unit and the RF modulator and agree entirely with what you're saying. i was so disappointed that i ended up disconnecting it. i keep looking at head units with AUX IN but have not bought one so far.
any help would be appreciated.

Yes it will. The issue is will it work with the OEM head unit. It definitely works with all post 99 Kenwood aftermarket units.
MarkWrx has purchased said unit off me and I', sure will post any findings.

Unfortunately the cable doesnt seem to want to work with the OEM head unit
So if anyone wants to connect an mstation or anything else via AUX in to a Kenwood unit then its yours for a tenner.
