Default Double DIN screen fitting help needed.. Jesus ??

Right, everything is in, and refitted and tidied up.
When I fitted it the other night I forgot to connect the parking brake wire.
I was told earthing it is the best option, so just tried it on a number of earthing points.... and still no picture.

It plays the audio, no error messages, but wont play the video.
Is there something I am missing, or is it a bit more complex than earthing the wire. How have you guys done yours... HELP PLEASE

Mine (JVC unit) was simply just using the earthing wire which i ran via a switch back to the metal brackets holding the head unit.

If it requires anything more complex than that it should be in the installation manual.

Yeah thats where I tried earthing it too... Hmmm.
Nothing else I can see in the manual about it, just to make sure its connected, and recommending its connected to the parking brake circuit.

Will try earthing it again. Wondering if I need to restart the unit, but cant see why I would.

Really getting on my nerves now lol.

Cheers for the help.

handbrakes are negative switching, so if it says connect to the handbrake then just earth it with the main earth wire. have you tried pushing the V.SEL button to see if that brings the picture up?

I just put the wire for my kenwood unit round one of the fixing screws for the head unit. some of them go into metel brackets instead of just plactic if you looks close enough.

My head unit had 3 screws in each side.. it was the middle of the 3 IIRC.

I earthed mine on the frame work round the headunit in the end.
Love the headunit even more now

Just to get the extra toys on it.
