ok, one of my std speakers have blown and i want to replace the 2 front speakers.

ive read about making spacers and fitting 6.5" speakers but also read a lot about tweeter catching door cards and windows hitting magnets.

is there a speaker i can use that is a direct replacment for the o.e unit? what size is the hole in the door? and how much clearence is there between the mounting surface and the window?

Ok you don't have to worry to much about speakers hitting to much especially in an 05. 6.5 will fit perfect and you and you can make spacers or buy them. and when it comes to the tweeters, just remove the factory ones which are screwed to the door and place your new tweets on the door cards them selves or you can glue your aftermarket ones to the factory brackets. Either way 5 1/4' s will fit as well it just depends what brand you go with. I personally have Polks front and rear and 6.5's in the rear deck. if you have any other questions let me know.
