Default Sub install.... getting to the battery?

So whats everyone done here when they want to get to the battery on a '99 Classic?

Any particular side to run the wires down?

Thanks in advance!

Try and keep the wires on the same side as the battery and go through the firewall with it.

I'm guessing there's an amp or two going in there!!
Just keep the wiring runs as short as reasonably possible and make sure it's earthed well.

Mines a bit newer than yours but view my scooby and you get the jist of what can be done.

Just a simple Vibe Active going in

Where exactly is it on the passenger side, I assume under the glove box somewhere? I will have to have a look tomorrow.

I've put my live off the battery to the amps in the boot through where the air-con pipes go through, just made a extra hole in the grommet...
You'll have to lift the carpet and sound deadening to get the wire through...
Run the wire all the way down the n/s...

What he said

If no aircon, there's an unused grommet there,( about 50 mm oval) or make a hole through the grommet used FOR the aircon. It comes out high above the glovebox, poke a stiff wire through from the bonnet side to help you find the wire when it comes through Finding it from the INSIDE is best done by FEEL, it's hard to see.

then remove trim panels from along inside the footwell: prise out clips and undo screws, it's a piece of cake. There's a fair bit of room.

Remove rear seat base, (two bolts) for easier access.

i always push a screwdriver throught the grommet - easy way to see where its going then.
Re the earth, I just drilled a hole in the floor in the boot.
