I'm about to take the plunge and upgrade speakers at the front myself. It all looks obvious, but is there anything i should know about removing the front door trims to gain access?

Looks like you undo a screw by the door handle, and then pull the trim off(carefully).

Can someone confirm/comment please.

Tim.

Be very careful when pulling out the plastic trim that houses the electric window switch/es. This is very delicate and the retaining lug can break off very easily as I found out myself!!!

It's easy enough:

Prise up the electric window switch at the front of the pad. Screw in there, disconnect the switches by pushing a lug on the back of the switches.

Prise off the triangular piece of plastic by the mirror.

Screw behind blanking plate below arm rest.

Pop off the door handle surround. Don't need to screw the door handle.

Pull off popper at door hinge end of the door.

Pull whole trim outwards *gently*. Should be completely loose.

Push upwards gently.

Hey Presto.

As they say in Haynes manuals, refitting reverse of above.
