Default my instal not quite finished yet

while the car has been off the road over the winter i have been busy in the garage working on my boot install nothing massive but enough i didnt want the fibre glass look i wanted to leather it so it looks like the interior
here are some pics i took while it did it

IMG]http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t218/big_dan_impreza/Bootbuild2.jpg[/IMG]

just have to wait no to wait now untill i get payed next to get some foam and leather to cover it. wanna try and get it to look as close to the interior as pos. i have to install some green neon lights in there as well which will look the same as the dash board lights.

its took me a couple of weeks to do with some help from some m8s not cost to much either i sound proofed the whole of my boot with 50sq feet of sound proofing also the brown stuff on it silicone to stop any wibrations at the joins of the wood

just thought i would show it as i think it looks pretty good and will look even better when finished and i will up date when completed hopefully at the end of the month

cheers Big dan

Top job mate.

I've just finished building my false floor and mounted my two subs.

I've reverse mounted my subs so they face the rear seats, I was told they would give better thud over boom. Plus with shopping and prams no one likes damaging they subs. Whats your views?

I just need to build the two side pods and I'm done.

it doesnt really weight that much to be honest there is not that much wood in there

with mounting the speakers the other way surely u get less room in ur boot as the cones etc is facing out and surely when u put a pram in with metal on it will stick to the cone of the subs.

with the sound i dont think it really makes much difference tbh when i sit in mine it takes ur breath away i just get a rattle in the boot lid which i need to try and get rid of

its still not finished yet as im in portsmouth on a 2 week training course and my car is at home in bristol im hoping to have it done by next weekend

i will post pics when finished

the box is just a standard on from halfords twin 12inch sub box cost about £60 is it not removable now

i'll take some pics of the trap door when i get back i will post them up i have cut the hole i just need to make the door now shouldnt take too long

in the front i am running just the standard speakers at the moment im going to change them later i have other things to do yet. i have my decat sat in the garage waiting to be fitted and i need my rear bumper and spoiler re-spraying so the fron t speakers will have to wait in the back im undercidid on what to go for im gunna just get some co-axle ones i expect gunna take a look down halfords on fri when i get back

Looks great, I'm envious. You definitely need to swap those front speakers though.
