Hi.
The left rear speaker in my MY95 5 door 1.6GL isnt working. I've only just got the car and it wasnt working then so I dont know when it died. I've played with all the balance controls on the (standard) head unit, the speaker doesnt play at all.
I assume the most likely cause is a duff conection somewhere, but where is a good place to start looking?
As you may have gathered I dont have much of a clue about ICE systems!
Cheers,
Ben

Continuity test between the rear of the headunit and the speaker terminals. If that works is either the headunit or the speaker at faults.
Alternatively put a sensitive AC voltmeter across the offending speaker connections with the stereo on. If you see a voltage which varies with the music volume then it is a duff speaker.
