Default Help- 4 channel to 2 subs........how

Hi guys, am pulling my hair out. Recently bought a 4 channel Alpine Amp and 2x 15" Kicker subs (BTW they're going into my 4x4, not the Impreza).

Now, can any help me out? Need a sketch or diagram. Amp is fitted, not quite sure which output to use from head unit and how to connect the 2x subs across the 4 channels. Do I need 2x stereo cables from the head unit to amp or just one?

This is the first time that I'm attempting to put any kind of ICE in any of my cars..........

use the subwoofer output from the stereo or the rear (if no sub out)

you should have + - + - / + - + - across the amp for the spkr outputs
.......................\....../.....\...../
_______________sub______sub

Make sure the cross over on the amp is set to LP or LO(W) and make sure that both channels on the amp are the same ie both LP

If you are unsure still then try ALPINE.whatever and download a amplifier manual. It shoul tell you in there.

I wish you good luck and here's to sore ears!!!!!!!

What model of amp is it? You should have a manual with wiring diagram, or it should be on the Alpine site? As scooby51 said...

If the amp can be bridged to 2 channel then you can run one sub of each.

Help us out here, it's pretty random so far...

Try and find out what outputs the head unit has too; ideally it'll have dedicated sub output(s).

Hang back until you get a confirmed answer, amps and sub could blow.

But it sounds like it will be ok once you have the full details for us !
