Default Wierd Problem with 2003 STi !

Bought a 2003 UK STi on Saturday and made short work of getting the old head unit out and sticking my Pioneer Avic X1R in its place.

I used the correct ISO adaptor, stuck the Forrester pocket in, swapped over the switched / Live to the HU and installed my Ipod adapter using the switched power supply from the Cig lighter.

The handbrake cable is earthed to the loom earth to circumvent the 'sont use whilst driving' drivvel

Now, to the problem.................

Whenever I have the head unit on, my indicators dont work !!! No sound from the relay, no warning lights, nothing!

If I pop the face off, the indicators work perfectly

I'm going to roll back the instalation one thing at a time to try and find the problem but has anyone ever heard of this happening before with a head unit?

I know the unit is fine as it came out of my previous car so i'm hoping that its going to be a simple fix by using a different earth / switched supply.

Bizzare!

Try removing the power supply for your ipod from the ciggy lighter. then test

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahaaaa

I found the problem!!!

When the screen was on, it was ever so slightly pressing the hazard button which is obviously on the same relays as the indicators

So, screen adjusted 1mm to me and I have indicators
