Fitting New Headunit - advice please
Hi all,
Fitting an Alpine 9850Ri over Xmas, can anyone help me with a couple of points....
Radio Reception - I found the following post in the FAQ's :
'The Scoob has the antenna linked to the rear windscreen. Behind the left hand pillar covering in the rear you will find the antenna amplifier. This needs power. The factory fit unit supplies this as standard.
So, make sure you connect power to it. How do you do this? Connect up the electric antenna connection on your headunit to the blue wire on an ISO adapter. This is the same wire that you would connect a turn on feed for a remote amplifier to power a sub or sorts'
Is this applicable to a Newage ? and will I have to make a connection onto the ISO from my new headunit ?
Power to New Headunit
Again a few posts have stated running a new fused 20amp feed from the battery - is this necessary or can/does it get powered by the ISO connector ?
Thanks in advance
Neil
