I have some later front door cards which came off a ex-show sounds car which I want to fit. Trouble is they support 2 x 16.5" speakers. I was intially going to fit my 6510cs with grills which leaves me to fill the 2nd hole. I thought if I could fill the 2nd hole with the same matching grill it may look better.
But once I got the grills from out the loft I noticed that they have 2 cut-outs in the grill, not really great if you want full protection of the speakers. Plus I should be blanking off, covering the 2nd hole so not to spoil the sound?
Still working on it?
I may try another fix by making my own.
Are you grills silver or black & could you pm me what you want for them just incase.

As you can see I can fill one of the holes with my 6510cs but then that leaves the other to be filled with a speaker or blank it off.
I did think about adding maybe 6.5" sub but not sure how that will sound etc?
Any other option which may improve the sound, The back of my wagon is empty & not keen on sub boxes etc. Dont mind running a better amp to drive the front but thats about it. I need the boot space.

Thats the right page, the little piccie, top right, has the grills in it. This one in fact:

Nice door cards, very nice. I like the fact that you can have 2 * 6.5" speakers on one door
Same old saying im afraid, it depends on what sort of music you want/listen to and then only you can decide what speakers sound best.
Personally if i had them i would go for (hope im not teaching you how to suck eggs):
6.5" components with remote tweeters for the speakers closest to the A pillar, with some coaxials (built in tweeters) for the set furthest away.
You should get some good all round sound, not too much bass, a good mix.
Ive just managed to acquire a set of rear door cards with speaker grills in, although they only take 4.5" speakers. Better than nothing though
Im guessing the rear parcel shelf in the wagon is similar to the 4 door? If you want some bass then 6x9's can be mounted under the shelf. That way you wont really need any subs in the boot at all.
Get a 4 channel amp to run all of the speakers off and you're set. (i found that two 2 channel amps fitted nicely under my seats so ive gone for that instead of 1 4 channel one - also in the hope that because theyre doing less work they should sound better too!)
Hope i havent gone on too much!
