Ripspeed stereos?
Was in Halfrauds this weekend looking at the steroes for the mrs suzuki, and saw a "ripspeed" stereo.
Looked nice, and had cd player, mp3 usb port and sd card slot for £129.99 Has anyone got one????
Also what does an sd-card do??? (If i'm stupid just tell me!!!) lol
Thanks

lol m8...no one was born smart
The sd slot on it is for sd or mmc cards and will work the same way as the usb slot where you you will put the flash drive in with your mp3's.
It will save you recording cd's and very cost effective (flash drives, sd cards and alike cost peanuts now days and can be used endlessly and also much faster than recording on to cd)
SD cards are more commonly foud on PDA's and digital cameras and mmc cards on phones as a way of storage for pictures etc... on that case it would be used to store your mp3's (mmc cards are same dimension but just thinner and will also work on the sd slot)
This is also very handy if you have very stiff suspension as there is no skipping
My m8 had a similar one from argos (£99.99) and sounded quite nice.
Couldent advise you on the one you saw as i never heard one play...didnt they have one on the demo cabinet to try???

Yes m8 very easy....
Just like an mp3 disc is recorded in the same way as you would record data.... you make the folders such as with the artists name/group or type of music (easy listening, jazz etc) and then paste your mp3 files in each folder.
These folders with the mp3 files in them will be located on the root of the cd.
Just like a cd multichanger each folder will simbolize a cd.
Now... forget about the actual cd and swap it for the for the usb flash disc or the sd card (they work in the same way)
With the usb flash drive just plug it into your usb posrt on the pc (no drivers required with windows ME or above) it then shows on your pc as being a removable storage (another hard drive) ...now double click and open it and think of that as being the root of the cd.
with the sd card it works in the same way but you do neet a card reader (usb adapter) for the pc in order to connect the sd card to the pc.
