Worth just upgrading fronts speakers & supplier in Leeds

I've got a standard MY00 with normal head unit and CD stacker in the boot.
I was looking to get better sound for under £100!
Would just replacing the fronts be ok with the standard head unit?
From reading this area, the following 2 speakers seem recommended as straight swops.
JBL GT6.0c
Infinity Reference 605CS
any others I should be looking into?
Lastly any recommended suppliers in Leeds who will give me a good price and fit 'em?

605CS would be my preference from your list, probably supplied by UniCAR. I know a guy who works there who normally can sort out a deal of sorts (Jerry).
However, I'd recommend listening to the Clif Designs entry level stuff from Maximum Impact, who I really trust. About 160 quid for those.
