hey guys dont know id u can help.....have a crappy jap import DDX replica type DVD player. been working ok up till recently when it just stops playing the cd and wont eject it again. this usually self resolves but its been stuck for a few days and wont budge.....everything else (radio/tv) works but this just doesnt respond. have turned it off for ages etc etc but nothing......anybody sugest anything else?
ps: not ready to smash it to bits yet

 

Have you also made a reset? Mostly there is a reset-button on the front...sometimes this works.

Otherwise you could have a look inside if the HU tries to pull it out (mechanical sounds), if so it might be stuck, take a tiny piece and get it under the CD to lift it a bit and get it out.

Otherwise you´ll have to let it been repaired...no problem for anybody who knows how to.

 

gonna try n disconect it from the main battery to see if that resets it.....havent found a reset button elsewhere......may just add a cd changer to save having to use the slot again tho..

ps: there is a whirringn sound n its still spinning ...doesnt seem to make any extra sound when i press eject though the front screen moves away as they usually do.
