Hi Hoskib, looks pretty good m8.

Where did u get the silver flap covered blanking pocket??

I take it that's a MY 05/06 Scoober u have there?

I have MY04 STi Type UK WRC 330, and can no longer hear the standard Subaru/Kenwood pile of c*** over my booming API exhaust, so gotta upgrade "soon as" the H/U and speakers, and probs squeeze an amp and a bin in the boot.

Looking at JVC KD-AVX2 with the funky video monitor on the front, single din, but need to fill the hole, can't stand the black plastic "hole".

re: the flap box, rigpig is spot on there's lots of info in FAQ about fitting it as you need to drill some new holes in the side mounting brackets.

yep, it's an 05 sti, but it looks like the silver doesn't properly match either the 04 or 05 impreza silver dash!

the standard speakers, although fairly pants, are really held back by the h/unit. i was expecting to need to change these asap but the quality isn't all that bad to be honest. good enough to leave them for a while anyway

You won't be able to fit the silver flap with the JVC. The front panel is too big. See my install here...

Default Thanks Chiark

Thanks to Chiark for his great webpage and directions on how to remove the standard double-din rubbish and fit a single DIN unit.

Instructions are spot on
