Default ScoobyWorld Speaker Packages?

Evening chaps, im due to pick up my first scooby on saturday and have decided that i want to spend a bit of dosh on upgrading the speakers.

Ive heard the standard audio equipment in subaru's is pretty pants so im prepared to spend a bit of cash ( <£200 ) to make them a bit better.

Ive seen this package on ScoobyWorld - CDT CL51 Front Component Speaker System £189.99 + vat.

Anyone got the said package and can recommend them? And are they standard fit items i.e no drilling / cutting required?

Thanks

Adam

not got them mate but CDT are top class and will sound great. BUT!!!!!! there's always a but - 190 quid for just the front door speakers and tweeters???? I cant really talk coz i spent nearlly 400 quid on mine!!!!(then they droppped the price)
You dont say if you wanna upgrade all four or just the fronts.

If you wanna go for all out brash OOOOOmpf, you could do a lot worse than a set of VIbe SEK's - Sound great and bang like bunny on speed!!!!! or even take look at Alpine's SXS 1357 5 1/4" components (have these in my astra and quality is superb. Both of these sets cost around a bullseye (£50) so you could do your entire car for a ton.

Thats my opinion but you have fun and get whatever you want to

Hia mate, thanks for the comments and advice

To be honest mate i hadnt thought about it in that much depth yet!! My previous car was an MR2 so i didnt have a rear so to speak with the engine being right behind my head.

Ill have a look at the ones youve recommended and take it from there. I suppose i should really wait until i get the car first though ( dont get it till Sat. )

Thanks

Adam

cheers dude

If you need any help or advice fitting new speakers then check out CHIARK's FAQ's
Great help and easy to follow destructions on scooby doors and pretty much everything else.

ps it takes weeks to get the grin off your face after you hit 3000 rpm and floor it

Enjoy yourself ! ! !

Plenty of info in the FAQ sticky. I'd say do the fronts and replace the lame head unit before bothering with the rears (if at all).
