I really want to put one of these in my 03 WRX

but the hole in the dash is about 5mm smaller than the standard 1-DIN size so it is too narrow for it to fit. Many head units have a trim that can be removed, but this doesn't.

So it will have to sit about 1cm proud of the hole which will still need to be made bigger. Has anyone enlarged the facia hole with decent looking results?

Oh yes the trim does come off! Try using a very small flat head screw driver

Took me 20mins before I finally thought F it and snapped it off! It now sits flush in my 95 classic!

Im not sure if the newer models have the samish trim around, but I removed the silver center bit and the ash tray and the tea tray and the little box above that is useless(as its too small for hands to pull anything out) fitted the DVD player, wired the parking lead into the driver seatbelt possi + plug so the DVDs play while im driving and not only when the handbrake is applied replaced all the things I took out and looks fine now

I think the 95 classic has a different sized hole. Newage scoobs have a 2-DIN size
