just got an 05 impreza yesterday and is it just me or is the radio reception a bit ****e?
comparing it to my old classic with pioneer head unit that picked up everything, the std head unit really struggles to pick up some of the same stations.
is it the weather or is the std head unit just pants?

It's not great, but it shouldn't be that bad. Get it down the dealers, something might have failed in the aerial. Do the 05s still have the aerial integrated into the screen?
I ended up mounting a beesting on my wagon because the reception was soooo poor.

read a bit in this section about an amplifier for the aerial, might be worth checking out at the dealers.

I got a 06 Blobeye and think the radio signal is about the best thing on the setup.
Coming from a Ford Focus (which was far from perfect) makes the STi stereo sound gash for a Std setup. Really disappointed with the Speaker/Headunit quality on CD's etc..
Gonna save some pennies and get a Kenwood Double Din DVD Headunit and maybe some speakers to go with it.
