Question Infinity, Focal or Vibe?

Hi, I'm up for replacing the front speakers in my 04 Wagon and have seen that Infinity and Focal seem to be favourites.

However, I'm on a limited budget (wife induced!!) and wondered if Vibe FLI were any good as the guy who does all my alarm/stereo stuff reckons he could fit a pair for £80 including the Corsa collars. That seems real cheap compared to £110-£140+ for fitting Infinitys or Focals.

Am I getting what I pay for or are Vibe good value speakers?

Also, is it worth replacing the rears? If so, what size are they 5.25"?

Cheers,

Nige

Sony!

Seriously, guy, have you HEARD any of the speakers you're thinking of? DON'T buy without hearing. In speakers, one man's meat really IS another's poison.

I did blind testing, and ended up with Sonys front and rear, and I'm really happy with 'em

Wink

Fronts, XS-F 1731, 3-way.

Rears, K6930 3-way.

Basically, I took my youngest to a Halfords, narrowed the choice down to about 4 fronts and 4 rears, then got him to switch from one to the other while I had my back turned so as I didn't know which he'd selected. I chose purely on what I thought of the sound. I did fronts and rears seperately too. Just switched off ALL the fronts while I chose rears, and vice versa.

It helps if you can get pretty close to your own head unit as the source, too. Luckily Halfords had one just like mine.

I've been very happy with them so far, and several people have commented on how nice they sound.

They are 180W btw.
