Default Head units with front AUX input

Hi,

I'm currently looking at upgrading my basic (and when I say basic, I mean very, it's just a tape deck and FM tuner) head unit, to something more friendly towards my iPod/minidisc player. I'm currently using a Belkin casette adaptor, with the iPod/whatever sat on the passenger seat as the shape of the dash doesn't lend itself to keeping the iPod on it on corners (it's a Ka that i've got).

I know Aiwa ones now come with front AUX, and I think some Sony ones do, but does anybody know of any other decent ones that preferably aren't CD changer ones?

TIA

Bex

IMO...

Any head unit with an AUX in could probably be used. Just need a connector to link the RCA PHONO inputs off the back of the h/u to a 3.5" stereo jack socket. The socket could be fascia or dash mounted.

Where have you been looking?

I only found one h/u with a aux-in under £100 and that was this one. Pioneer DEH-30MP . Not a front aux-in though...

I suppose a fascia mounted one could be an option, especially as I'd need a new fascia plate to accomodate the new h/u anyway.

I'm not the best of people when it comes to wiring and what not, and this'll be my first attempt at doing anything to the car aside fome fueling it, washing it, driving it and topping up the windscreen wash, so I'm hoping to keep it easy(ish).
