Question What size of spacers

Looking to get new front speakers for my Classic next week,

Any idea what size of spacers i will need..

Depends what speakers you're buying of course, but the general concensus is to make your own 12mm spacers from MDF rather than trust that any purpose made ones will work, as invariably they don't fit.

I put JBL GTO-626e speakers in the front of my classic, they come with 2 sets of adaptors, I could even use the original speaker mounting plate - they were a perfect fit and a great sound off them too.

Cheers M8.....Not sure what speakers i am going to get yet.....

Your speakers came with 2 adaptors, are these spacers???????

Sorry for being a bit thick.....I don't want to buy the wrong thing

Okay, the adaptors were for ease of attaching the speakers to any existing holes in the metal of the door to save you drilling and there's no real thickness to them. Like I say they were perfect for the original mounts in the door panel and the speakers' magnets even fitted within the plastic housing to protect from moisture.

Size of the original speakers by the way is 16cm. I'd suggest taking the door panel off and having a good look before you buy anything. That's what I did anyway.
