Default Kenwood head unit question

My Kenwood mask head unit went on the blink tonight and i think it will cost too much mula to repair so am considering replacing it [it has 2 RCA preouts] The system consists of the 4 door speakers, sub in the boot, 5 channel amp and cd changer.
My stupid question is if i buy a Kenwood mask unit again with 2 preouts it it simply a case of removing the old and putting in the new ?
The install wasn't done by me
Thanks
Simon

Hi Simon, you could change to a KDC-W808 for example with no problem - http://www.kenwood-electronics.co.uk...&k3=23&pr=1818

We currently have a special offer on for these units at £250 with a free KCA-IP500 ( Ipod interface ) including vat and delivery. We will also offer free fitting if you come to us in Gloucestershire.

More than likely be the ribbon broken. You can buy them for a few £ on Ebay and fit them yourself.
Stacks of themon there, must be a common problem

Broken ribbons are an extremely common problem on voth the flip fronts and the Mask units. If it is not working at all then it would be work trying to take it apart to see if that was the fault.
