Just about to install these speakers into my MY00 wagon front doors, and wondered if they needed spacers to fit. Searching the forum (not easy at the moment) suggests that the reference series go straight in, but can't find anything definitive about the Kappas. Also can the tweeters fit in the tweeter grille - (they're swivel jobs but I would give this up) or do they have to be mounted on the wee triangles at the top of the door?

One final question, the head unit instructions (Alpine 9812) say that a direct battery power feed should be used, is this necessary on the Impreza?
