Default Need some advice

Fitted an Alpine CDA-9855R head unit plus the Ipod box into the STi, sounds pretty good BUT the factory speakers are a limitation, so what is good to replace, I like bass, martin next door mentioned J B Audio (?? may have that wrong) as being good speakers that are bass orientated, any views or input welcome. Whole reason for the upgrade is to use the Ipod btw.
Not interested in amps or bass boxes as I want to keep weight down.

cheers

bob

I think he must mean JL Audio who make some of the best quality ICE equipment but i think if you shell out on some excellent speakers for you doors they will be wasted without an amp. Check out www.jlaudio.com for a look at there stuff.

Or possibly JBL...

Let us know what your budget is and I'm sure that people will make a recommendation.

If you like bass, you're best off adding a sub or something dedicated to making bass. If you've got a saloon rather than a wagon, my preference would be to fit genesis 6x9 subs (real subs, not pretend 6x9 things) on the shelf and amp them up well.

If you've got a wagon, well, any sub will sound acceptable
