Can somebody please confirm that the infinity 6000cs will fit in a 05 reg impreza with spacers? I've looked at FAQ's but it always goes on about the classic and scooby net shop has a warning that they're for the classsic only but then there does seem to be a few newage cars with them?

I think the 6000cs are the same diameter as the 6500cs, but only need one 12mm mdf spacer. The FAQ has links to fitting the 6500cs into an 05 wrx, written by a fantastic bloke...

Have you come across any other alternatives than the forester pocket or plain black blanking plate? I just don't like the way the silver doesn't match!

Actually, it does match pretty well in the flesh (at least to my eyes). But no, I haven't heard of anything else.

I bought a plain black pocket, that fitted neatly underneath the single din stereo. That seemed quite good.
