Hi, just wondering if anyone has found a head unit that matches really well with the newage dash, I'm looking for that "looks like standard" look. I have the forster pocket ready to go in too.

Only must have feature is MP3 playback, budget up to £300.

Pix would be great if you have any.

Just put this in mine mate (but the 7700 model with MP3)

Power seller on ebay does them for £155 with warranty unopened. MCS and car audio direct had them up at £230 in the sale the other week when I looked down from £289.

alpine 9855r cost me 279.(has a glidetouch ipod style controller) its one of the best head units around.
Awesome sound quality and is ipod ready (adaptor cost 60) all fromm audio66.com

You've probably seen it by now, but my Alpine 9847r has a lot of the silver/grey colour of the dash... on its face. It's a bit shiny-er than the original which is taking some getting used to. Silver units do look good, but I'm very happy with the way my 9847r looks.

Thanks for the replies, my old Kenwood is very silver, but it might look ok.
So far I've bought Rainbow componants, Alpine amp, just need to find some one i trust to rip my car to pieces and fit it all (

Just fitted an Alpine CDA-9855R into my 05wrx. The stereo colours make the instrument panel perfectly and you can also change the illumination colours to match the car illumination, ie green.

The stereo also fits perfectly.

I've got the same Alpine 9855 with the ipod adaptor in my STi Type UK my03. Fits great and sounds great. £351 delivered from CEL.
