03 Door speakers - polarity

03 Door speakers - polarity
I'm replacing the door speakers (JBL 6552 front - Boston FX4 rear) Head unit replaced ages ago! Simple question - which wires are + and - in the original connector? The colour code is different in each door and the connectors are the same size. I've tested each to earth and I get the same reading of 6.14v (rear door) and the speaker works either way. There must be a correct way!

I believe the connector is a "T" shape; the vertical bit is the positive.
If you have a small (<9v) battery you could test the speakers themselves; when you've got the battery positive on the speaker positive (and neg to neg) the cone will move outwards. Best to do this momentarily.
