Question focal k2 165 install in my03??

i recently had a pair of focal comp. front speakers fitted to my my03 wrx along with a kenwood 4 channel amp and kenwood 12" sub.
the fronts sound crap to say the least, the door trims rattle/vibrate like nothing else. tonight i decided to remove the door card to see if i could see the problem. the instaler/bodger that fitted them has fitted an mdf spacer as i would expect the problem being they are protruding so far from the door skin that with the cards back on the speaker outer diaphram is touching the original speaker grills A/ which is not allowing the cones to move in and out to their full extent and B jamming against the original grills causing them to vibrate like mad.also correct me if i'm wrong shouldn't the rca leads be kept away from either the power or speaker wires. i have interferance through the front speakers under alternator load ie, lights/rear heated screen switched on. the live to the amp has come from the fuse box, would it not be better to come direct from the battery live and earth?does anyone know if these speakers WILL fit properly i have noticed the plastic moulded ring on the rear of the doorcard has been ground off too.i'm now begining to wonder if these will fit or not?
any valid comments appreciated. have you had these fitted with good results?

thanks in advance.
dean.

Yes live for the amp would be better coming straight from the battery with a fuse right by the battery, your right about the RCA leads aswell & the speakers sound like a real bodge, if your not doing anything this weekend (apart from santa pod) maybe i could look at it & try and sort it out.

OK mate, better take your name off the list though, how big are the spacers as i think 12mm is the deepest you should have.
