Default stereo install problems

just had a sony explod amp fitted and should have had a pair of sony 6 x 9's but they said no way would they fit,,is this true dyou think?
had a pair of 5 " alpines instead which cost me more.
also the loudness hasnt increased much
any ideas folks

6x9s don't drop in without a lot of messing, so they're right... But I'd personally fit 6x9s below the shelf firing through the holes if you're dead set on getting more output/power handling without adding a sub.

5" speakers are a lot easier to fit - they drop straight into the existing plates on the rear shelf.

they fitted some 5" ones in the rear doors
