I know the "front speaker" thing has been done to death here on the forum BUT, I'm a new Scooby owner (99 Waggon Sport) and I've searched on here but seem to get conflicting answers, so:

What size speaker will actually fit in the front door panel on my 99 (Phase II version I believe)???????????????????

I'd prefer zero modification as I'm lazy but I could rustle up some MDF mounts if a noticable improvement is gained.......

I was told 5" is a straight swap but the b1tch sold me a 6.5" one

 

I've fitted a pair of Infinity 6000CS in my MY00 wagon. They fit with just a bit of trimming to the splash cover.
There are better speakers out there but these do me nicely.

Perfect....Exactly what I was after......
I've found some 6000cs on ebay for about £65.... I think these will do me fine as I'm just wanting an upgrade over standard.....
