Default Which GPS?

I'm thinking of getting a GPS system but know very little about them.
What is the best removable GPS system on the market at the moment? Which models would you recommend and which would you avoid?
I’ve been looking at The Navman, Garmin and Tom Tom units.

Do they all have pretty similar features?

How do they compare price wise?

dude - for ease, simplicity and all road greatness, I went for Tom Tom 3 - she gets me anywhere.....

Totally excellent bit of kit.

I went for the bluetooth one for an ipaq - my preference as u get all the ipaq toys too!!

went for bluetooth as I didn't want cables all over the dash, and I thought it was cooler - and it is - honest.

try..

www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk

do bundle deals, best prices I've found (I searched alot!) and great customer service.

regards

Mikey

oh yeah, go for a cradle with a powered loudspeaker, as the little speaker in the ipaq won't cut it over road noise and music......

I went for the arkon unit.....

Using TomTom GO and so far found it very good, easy to use and you can download the camera sites from globalgps.
The only downside it is a little bit bigger than some of the others on the market.

I have got an iPAQ with Tom Tom 3 wired to my Road Angel.. best of both worlds and works very well indeed, only one cable conects and powers both units. Oh and my holder hasnt got a speaker in, I find the speaker in my 2210 fine.
