Cross over settings + fader setting?
Hi
I've bought some Alpine components, (these). I've only fitted tweeters so far, not wired up yet, and I've noticed that in the cross over there's a jumper, I can have it on 0db, -3db or -6db, does anyone have any idea what this is and what's a good setting? I'm thinking middle of the road, -3db cos I have no idea
Also, is there an optimum fader setting? Sal says towards the rear but I'm not convinced
Cheers

the db settings are used to take harshness out of tweeters depending on where you place them or persona preference.
it can stop the tweeters from being too harsh or in your face!
try each setting and just see which one you prefer.
my infinitys have the same thing on the crossovers and i have them set at -3db
stops the tweeters from sounding to tinny
hope this helps
