Question Kenwood Double Din DX-7025

I have done various searches and have seen that a few people have this head unit installed in an STI MY04. Is fitting one of these units a simple case of removing the crappy old Double din unit and putting the new one in without any hacking of the dashboard?

I've not fitted one but I had a good look at one. It should go in absolutley no problem - the screw holes all looked to be in the right place.

I fitted one last month,
Dead easy, it goes straight in.
You will need to get an ISO(?) adapter for it to fit the wiring loom though (about a fiver).
I wouldn't bother hooking up the remote wire to the hand brake (safety feature to turn off ant DVD when moving) just earth it. I wrapped the wire around one of the holding screws then went into he unit.
Good luck

As said, perfect fit, just needs the wiring compatability sorting. Be careful when removing the surround from the dash - Tip from an installer was to use a wide wallpaper scraper or similar & gently prise it out, worked for me.
Top bit of kit too.
