Cool

I thought they were 6" front & back..

Anyhow, with out cuttin' any metal, you can get 6.5" in front & back, fronts will need MDF mounts (or a customer housing of sorts) for 6.5"... And you can in theory suspend 6x9" from the back shelf without mod'ing anything (custom mounts again). I'll let you know next week, after my install is finished.

Wink

Front : 6"
Rear : 5"

But always seek for the professional's advice for upgrading your speakers.

Cheers Alex,

When you say 6.5" - that sounds good - do they go straight in - no cutting the metal, no cutting the plastic panels ?

I'm getting a 3rd part company to do mine.

C-L,

Absolutely, there should NOT be any reason to cut the metal in the doors or rear shelf!

The company that fitted mine in my old MY00, managed to get Alpine DDDrive 6.5" in the front (with MDF custom mounting bracket) and in the rear (think they went straight in)..

The same company is going to be putting 6.5" in the front, and 6x9" in the rear of my P1.

I'll let you know what they do, there are a couple of ways they think they can install the 6x9"s without modifying the shelf in anyway!

The company in question is Ian Bannings of Guildford, top company, top guys, can't recommend them enough!

Will know on Monday!

Rgds, Alex

CL,

My 6x9" went in last week, they sound awesome... anyhow, the way it was done...

a MDF collar was created to fit between the speakers and the bottom of the rear shelf. i believe they managed to utilise the existing screw holes this way.. note you will need to remove the rear shelf (carpeted bit) to get at the existing speakers..

Hope this helps...
