Default Bugger! Dropped two screws :(

I recently fitted a new head unit in my MY03 STi with no problems.

I took delivery of the subaru black pocket to go beneath it today.

As I was removing the six screws that hold the side plates in place two of the screws fell down into the dashboard behind the A/C controls.

I can't see them but I did manage to find one by sticking my hand under the trim by the drivers side. As I was trying to edge it out it suddenly disappeared. (Not my lucky day)

Does anyone know how to remove the side trim either side of the gearstick housing??

open the "bin" behind the hand break, pull the trim off thats around the handbreak leaver (only on clips IRC), once off the bit round the gear stick is again on clips but takes some wiggleing and pulling. Had mine off to run the wires to the MP3 player under the seat, not to hard really, just watch out for screws as i might have forgotten some.

I lost one too, never found the sucker.

Left it to fall out in good time…………………

Top tip, put a very small piece if Blue Tac on the end of yer screw driver, and shove the head of yer screw into it.

That will hold it in position.
