Question Numpty questions...

MY04 WRX saloon:

a) How do you get the interior door panels off?
b) What size are the driver units (think I've heard 17cm front and back)?
c) Are the OEM ones cardboard?
d) How much for a basic upgrade to kevlar, or similar?

Basically, both Eminem and coldplay cause my passenger door speaker to sound blooming awful when played at a reasonable level, and I want to fix it, but without going mad.

Answers on a postcard to....

Cheers

Don’t fight it just do it, component have main speakers and tweeter replacements.
Best you can get for the money, most other options are not worth looking at I know cos’ I did.

6000cs Price: £85.99 + PP

You will need a Sub, the bass is killed above 40MPH

Well worth the effort.

Just a note to say the head unit is crap and contributes to 50% of the problem, and the speakers the rest, you would not believe how good it can be.

Head units are £150 to £200, Sony Pioneer are both good, Alpine is well recommended if you want to spend more cash.

Just do a bit at a time, the job is not to difficult, just takes a little time, but very enjoyable and satisfying.
